Walking Safaris in Tanzania

Walking Safaris in Tanzania

Many of our guests are increasingly interested in exploring Tanzania beyond the confines of a safari vehicle. We offer short walking safaris within Manyara, Tarangire, and Arusha National Parks, allowing you to connect with the natural surroundings without the noise or barrier of a vehicle. On foot, you’ll move quietly through the bush, focusing on the smaller wonders like birds, insects, plants, and animal tracks. There’s always a possibility of encountering larger animals, which is why an armed ranger will accompany you for safety. Getting up close to wildlife adds a thrilling element to your safari and brings an extra dimension to your adventure.

Quick Facts:

  • Length of walk: Approximately two hours
  • Fitness level: Moderate
  • Safety: You’ll be accompanied by an armed ranger, provided by TANAPA (Tanzania National Park Authority)
  • What to wear: Long trousers, a t-shirt or shirt in safari colors (khaki, beige, green), a sun hat, and sturdy closed-toe shoes suitable for walking

Let us exceed your expectations and create memories that will last a lifetime.
